A lot of Victoria homes have a fireplace rather than a wood stove, and many of our clients here like burning their winter wood that way.
Many Victoria clients also have supplemental heat, so one cord is often enough for them. If you’d like more wood on hand, 2.5 cords is one full bucket load on our south-island truck.
2 cords aren’t available in Victoria because of the truck bin sizes our south-island deliveries use.

What 2.5 cords looks like
A full cord measures 4 ft × 4 ft × 8 ft. Here’s how that adds up when the bigger load arrives at your place.
320 cubic feet, stacked
A cord is 128 cubic feet of stacked wood, so 2.5 cords works out to 320 cubic feet.
Dumped, not stacked
The load comes off the truck as a loose pile, and a pile takes up more room than the same wood in neat rows.
Space for the pile
Leave clear space where you want the wood, and a clear path the truck can back up to.
Ordering one cord?
It’s delivered the same way, on the same terms as the larger load.
Delivery across Victoria
Victoria orders are delivered by our dispatcher local to Saanich, Monday to Friday. Once you order, we get you in the calendar asap.
The wood is dumped from the truck wherever you want it, and we don’t stack it. Won’t be home? Send us a photo of the spot and the load goes there.
Our prices are delivered prices, though some locations may have a delivery fee depending on where you are in Victoria.

Questions about firewood in Victoria
My Victoria home has a fireplace, not a wood stove. Can you cut the pieces shorter?
We can. Our standard length is 15"–16", and we can cut your order to any shorter length, which helps if your fireplace takes smaller pieces. Cuts under 12" carry an additional charge. The width can’t be changed, because it’s set by the machine splitter.
Is one cord enough, or should I order 2.5?
It depends on how you heat. Many of our Victoria clients have supplemental heat, so a single cord at $475 is often enough. If wood is a bigger part of how you keep warm, 2.5 cords for $1,150 gives you more on hand.
Does it matter which Victoria neighbourhood I live in?
We deliver to all neighbourhoods in Victoria, from James Bay and Fairfield to Fernwood and Victoria West. Where you are can still matter for cost, though: some locations may have a delivery fee.
